Success! Message received.

From the librarian's desk:

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my  fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

Psalm 91:1-2

Library hours:
The physical library is currently closed. However, if you request a book I can pull it for you and put it on the table outside the library door to be picked up on
Mondays from 3-5:30.
Books may also be returned during that time.

I have heard from several families requesting to check out books. I If you have already contacted me, the books are in the hallway outside the library with your child’s name on them. If you have not requested library books and are interested, let me know today by noon and I will have them ready for you this afternoon. If you have a 2nd-4th grader who is looking for something to read, we have several series that might be of interest: I Survived… books, Imagination Station books, and Choice books.

I learned a new word this week from Our Daily Bread. Tsundoku is a Japanese word meaning a stack of books waiting to be read. The article talked of the potential for enjoyment and learning to be found in books in general but even more so in the Bible.

I find great comfort in God’s Word especially in this time of uncertainty and frightening news reports. I am praying for each of my students as we weather this unsettled time. Spend time in the Word. Trust God. And, if your tsundoku is getting short, let me know and I will get some reading material for you and your children.

Looking forward to seeing you again soon,

Mrs. Sheri Cooper
